also we speak = we speak also.

which man's, &c. = taught (Greek. didaktos. Only here and Joh_6:45) by man's wisdom.

but . . . teacheth. Supply Ellipsis (App-6), "but in (things) taught by the Spirit" (1Co_2:10). The texts omit "Holy".

comparing = interpreting. Greek. sunkrino. App-122. Used in Septuagint of interpreting dreams. Gen_40:8, Gen_40:16, Gen_40:22; Gen_41:12, Gen_41:13, Gen_41:15. Dan_5:16, Dan_5:17.

To interpret = to fit the meaning to the words.

spiritual. i.e. spiritual (things) to spiritual (men). See 1Co_12:1.
