precious. Hebrew. yakar = heavy (in price). Note the five precious things in Old. Testament: the word of God (1Sa_3:1, its first occurrence); redemption (Psa_49:8); the death of His saints (Psa_72:14; Psa_116:15); the lips of knowledge (Pro_20:15); the thoughts of God (Psa_139:17).
