above it. The Hebrew accent (zark'a) emphasizes this as meaning "beside him" (Compare Gen_18:2, where 'al is rendered "by"). It is not the angels, but the Divine faithfulness and promise, which mark "this place" (verses: Gen_28:16, Gen_28:17) and make it "the house of God".
