begotten, &c. = brought Thee to the birth. i.e. at resurrection, when the Son became the glorified federal Head of a new order of beings. Compare Heb_5:5; Act_13:33. Rom_1:4, with 1Co_15:45, &c, and Psa_2:7 (Septuagint)
