spirit. Hebrew. ruach. App-9. For this promise, see Eze_36:25-30; Eze_39:29. Compare Isa_32:15; Isa_59:21. Joe_2:28. Zec_12:10. It began at Pentecost (Act_2:16); but the kingdom was then rejected (Act_28:25, Act_28:26), and the promise is now in abeyance. Compare Joe_2:28, "afterward".
