Rechabites They were descended from Hobab, the brother-inlaw of Moses. A Kenite tribe, who migrated with Israel to Canaan. Compare Num_10:29 with Jdg_1:16; Jdg_4:11-17; Jdg_5:24. 1Sa_15:6. They were proselytes, not idolaters; inhabiting the wilderness south of Judah.
