Moses. The first of 13 occurances in John (Joh_1:17, Joh_1:45; Joh_3:14; Joh_5:45, Joh_5:46; Joh_6:32; Joh_7:19, Joh_7:22, Joh_7:22, Joh_7:23; Joh_8:5; Joh_9:28, Joh_9:29). grace and truth. In the days of Moses there was grace (Ex. Joh_34:6, Joh_34:7), and the law itself was an exhibition of truth; but when Jesus Christ came, He was Himself the Truth, i.e. the very personification of truth (14. 6), and His life and death were the supreme manifestation of grace.
