Luk_1:52; Luk_10:15; Luk_10:14.; Joh_18:14, Joh_18:14. Act_2:33; Act_5:31; Act_13:17. 2Co_11:7. 1Pe_5:6) rendered "exalt", and in Jam_4:10, "lift up".

draw. Greek. helkuo. Same word as in Joh_6:44. Used else- where in Joh_18:10; Joh_21:6, Joh_21:11 and Act_16:19. The classical form helko occurs in Act_21:30. Jam_2:6. It was thought the form helkuo was peculiar to the N.T. and Septuagint, but it is found in one of the Oxyrhyncus Papyri. See Deissmann, Light, &c., pp. 437-9.
