I love. The only place where the Lord speaks of loving the Father. Six times the Father's love to the Son is mentioned, Joh_3:35; Joh_10:17; Joh_16:9; Joh_17:23, Joh_17:24, Joh_17:26. The adjective agapetos, beloved, does not occur in John's Gospel, but nine times in his Epistles. See App-135.
