brook. Greek. cheimarros, a winter torrent. Occurs only here.
Cedron. Called Kidron (2Sa_15:23 and elsewhere in O.T.) David crossed it, when with a few faithful followers he fled from Absalom. The name seems to have been given both to the valley and to the torrent which, in winter, sometimes ran through it. Now Wady-en-Nar.
