God. [L] T [Tr. ] A WH R., not Syriac, omit "God" here.
the Spirit. With Art. the Giver, not the gift. App-101. This was by measure unto John, but not unto the Lord. Compare Joh_15:26; Mat_11:27. What John saw and heard was limited (verses: Joh_3:27-30).
