the king. This title had been conferred by the Roman Senate on the recommendation of Antony and Octavius.

Abia is named in 1Ch_24:10, and Neh_12:17. Out of the four who returned from Babylon twenty-four courses were formed (by lot) with the original names. See App-179.



the daughters of Aaron. The female descendants of Aaron always married priests



Elisabeth. Aaron's wife, Elisheba (Exo_6:23)is spelled Elizabethin the Septuagint.
