stature = age, as in Joh_9:21, Joh_9:23. Heb_11:11, referring to fullness of growth, hence rendered "stature" (Luk_19:3. Eph_4:13). A "cubit" could not be "the least" of Luk_12:26. It must therefore be putby Figure of speech Metonymy (of Subject), App-6, for length generally: either the least measure (an inch) to his height, or a moment to his age (or life). Greek. helikia. Occurs elsewhere in Luk_2:52 and Mat_6:27.
