hath desired = hath demanded. Greek. exciteo. Occurs only here in N.T. It means to obtain by asking. you. Plural.



sift. Greek. siniazo = to sift (as wheat), to get rid of the corn. Occurs only here. The Lord "winnows "to get rid of the chaff. Compare Mat_3:12. Pet. Luk_5:8, Luk_5:9.
