the brow = an overhanging brow. Greek. ophrus. Occurs only here in N.T. A medical word (compare Col_4:14), used of the eyebrows because of their hanging over. At Nazareth it is not beneath, but hangs over the town about forty feet. All the texts omit "the".

cast Him down headlong. Greek katakremnizo. Occurs only here in N.T., and in the Septuagint only in 2Ch_25:12.
