cut = were cutting. branches off. The 1611 edition of the Authorized Version reads "branches of".
branches. Matthew, Mark, and John have each a different word. Each is a Divine supplement to the other two. All three were cut and cast. Matthew, plural of klados = branches; Mark, plural of stoibas = litter, made of leaves from the fields (Occurs only here); Joh_12:13, has plural of baion = palm branches.
