sons of. Apure Hebraism, used with reference to origin, destination, or characteristic. Sparks are "sons of fire" (Job_5:7); threshed corn is "a son of the floor" (Isa_21:10); Judas "a son of perdition" (Joh_17:12); sinners' natural condition "sons of disobedience" (Eph_2:2; Eph_5:6).
thunder. The name is Aramaic (App-94.), allied to Hebrew In Hebrew "thunder" is kol = voice: i.e. the voice of God (Exo_9:23, Psa_29:3. Jer_10:13).
