five = the five. baskets. Greek. kophinos = a Jewish wicker travelling hand-basket, of a definite capacity. From this comes our Eng. "coffin". Occurs in Mat_14:20; Mat_16:9. Mat_6:43; Mat_8:10. Luk_9:17. Joh_6:13. Not the same word as in Mar_8:20.
