the veil. Greek. katapetasma = that which is spread out downward, or that which hangs down. Septuagint for Hebrew. masak, (Exo_26:37; Exo_35:12; Exo_40:5). Occ only here; Mar_15:38. Luk_23:45. Heb_6:19; Heb_9:3; Heb_10:20. Not the same word as in 1Co_11:15, or as in 2Co_3:13-16 (Exo_34:33, &c).
