Make thee bald, &c. The signs of mourning. Compare Job_1:20. Isa_15:2; Isa_22:12. Jer_7:29; Jer_16:6; Jer_47:5; Jer_48:37). This is addressed to Judah. It was forbidden under the law (Deu_14:1). Judah had become as the heathen: let them mourn as the heathen.
