The righteous = A righteous one.
delivered = drawn out, liberated with gentle effort. Hebrew. chalaz. The same word as in Pro_11:9, but not the same as in verses: Pro_11:4, Pro_11:6; Pro_11:21. Illustrations: Mordecai and Haman (Est_7:9, Est_7:10); Daniel and his accusers (Dan_6:23, Dan_6:24); Israel and Egyptians (Ex. 14, and Isa_43:3, Isa_43:4).
