He layeth up. Same word as "hide" in Pro_2:1. The wicked cannot find. The righteous must dig. It is in safety from the enemy.



sound wisdom = something stable. Hebrew. tushiyah = that which is, or stability. May be so rendered in all its twelve occurrences. Compare Job_5:12 (enterprise = anything stable); Pro_6:13 (wisdom = stability); Pro_11:6; Pro_12:16 (wisdom = stability); Pro_26:3; Pro_30:22 (substance). Pro_2:7; Pro_3:21; Pro_8:14 (sound wisdom); Pro_18:1 (wisdom = all that is). Isa_28:29 (workings everything that is). Mic_6:9 (the man of wisdom = every one who is or exists). See App-74.
