lust = desire, i.e. of the old nature. See Joh_8:44.

covet. Greek. epithumeo. Quoted here and Rom_13:9 from the Septuagint of Exo_20:17. The word is used of any strong desire, and applies to the desires of the new nature as well as to those of the old. Compare Gal_1:5, Gal_1:17.
