of us - The oldest manuscripts and Vulgate read, “And of the commandment of the Lord and Savior (declared) by YOUR apostles” (so “apostle of the Gentiles,” Rom 11:13) - the apostles who live among you in the present time, in contrast to the Old Testament “prophets.”
