made bare ... arm - metaphor from warriors who bare their arm for battle (Eze 4:7).

all ... earth ... see ... salvation of ... God - The deliverance wrought by God for Israel will cause all nations to acknowledge the Lord (Isa 66:18-20). The partial fulfillment (Luk 3:6) is a forerunner of the future complete fulfillment.
