This Chapter Verse Commentaries:
כָּל־יִשְׂרָאֵל עַל (as in 1Ch 11:1; 1Ch 12:38), referring to the fact that David had been for a time king only over Judah, but had been recognised at a later time by all the tribes of Israel as king. The length of his reign as in 1Ki 2:11. In Hebron seven years; according to 2Sa 5:5, more exactly seven years and six months.
