Called to be an apostle
See on Rom 1:1. Compare 1Ti 1:1. Not distinguishing him from other apostles. Compare Mat 4:21; Joh 6:70; but Paul was called no less directly than these by Jesus Christ. Gal 1:12-16. John does not use the word apostle, but gives the idea, Joh 13:18.
