Entangled (ἐμπλακέντες)
Only here and 2Ti 2:4. The same metaphor occurs in Aeschylus (“Prometheus”): “For not on a sudden or in ignorance will ye be entangled (ἐμπλεχθήσεσθε) by your folly in an impervious net of Ate (destruction).”
