At his appearing (καὶ τὴν ἐπιφάνειαν)

Rend. “and by his appearing,” ἐπιφάνειαν thus depending on διαμαρτύρομαι, and the accusative being the ordinary accusative of conjuration, with which by must be supplied. The A.V. follows the reading κατὰ at. For ἐπιφάνεια appearing, see on 1Ti 6:14; see on 2Th 2:8. For, βασιλεία kingdom, see on Luk 6:20.
