Lightened (ἐκβολὴν ἐποιοῦντο)
Lit., made a casting out. Rev., began to throw the freight overboard. Note the imperfect, began to throw. The whole cargo was not cast overboard: the wheat was reserved to the last extremity (Act 27:38).
