I have not written (ouk egrapsa). Not epistolary aorist (1Jo 2:14), but a reference to what he has just said.
And because no lie is of the truth (kai hoti pān pseudos ek tēs alētheias ouk estin). Not certain whether hoti here is causal (because) or declarative (that). Either makes sense. Note the idiomatic use of ek and pān - ouk = ouden (no) as in 1Jo 2:19.
