When he was in Rome (genomenos en Romēi). Second aorist middle participle of ginomai (coming to Rome, happening in Rome).

He sought me diligently and found me (spoudaiōs ezētēsen me kai heuren). Effective aorists both of them (first of zēteō, second of heuriskō). He did it at the risk of his own life apparently.
