Were perplexed (diè„porounto). Imperfect middle of diaporeò„ (dia, a privative, poros) to be wholly at a loss. Old verb, but in N.T. only in Luke and Acts. They continued amazed (existanto) and puzzled.
What meaneth this? (Ti thelei touto einai). Literally, what does this wish to be?
