This Chapter Verse Commentaries:
Thou must stand before Caesar (Kaisari se dei parastè„nai). Note the same dei (must) as in Act 23:11 when Jesus appeared to Paul in Jerusalem and the same verb parastè„nai (second aorist active infinitive) used in Act 27:23.
Hath granted thee (kecharistai soi). Perfect middle indicative of charizomai and that from charis, a gift or grace. The lives of those that sailed with Paul God had spared as a gift (charis) to Paul.
