Then were they all of good cheer (euthumoi de genomenoi). More exactly, “Then all becoming cheerful,” because of Paul’s words and conduct.
Took food (proselabonto trophēs). Partitive genitive here (some food), not accusative as Act 27:33. Paul’s courage was contagious.
