This Chapter Verse Commentaries:

Unto you first (Humin prōton). The Jews were first in privilege and it was through the Jews that the Messiah was to come for “all the families of the earth.”

His servant (ton paida autou). As in Act 3:13, the Messiah as God’s Servant.

To bless you (eulogounta humas). Present active participle to express purpose, blessing you (Robertson, Grammar, p. 991). In turning away (en tōi apostrephein). Articular infinitive in the locative case, almost preserved in the English.
