Were the more added (māllon prosetithento). Rather (māllon) instead of decrease as one might expect. Imperfect passive indicative of prostithēmi common mi verb, kept on being added.
Both of men and women (andrōn te kai gunaikōn). The distinction between andres and gunaikes and to be considered in connection with andres in Act 4:4 which see.
