Ye slew (diecheirisasthe). First aorist middle indicative of diacheirizomai, old verb from dia and cheir (hand), to take in hand, manage, to lay hands on, manhandle, kill. In the N.T. only here and Act 26:21.
Hanging him upon a tree (kremasantes epi xulou). First aorist active participle of kremannumi (kremannuō seen already in Mat 18:6 and Luk 23:39). Peter refers to Deu 21:23 as Paul does in Gal 3:13, the curse pronounced on every one who “hangs upon a tree.”
