Having received the spies with peace (dexamenē tous kataskopous met' eirēnēs). First aorist middle participle of dechomai, to welcome (Luk 10:8, Luk 10:10). Kataskopos is an old compound (kataskopeō, Gal 2:4), used of scout or spy, in lxx, here only in N.T.
