A change (metathesis). Old substantive from metatithēmi. In N.T. only in Heb. (Heb 7:12; Heb 11:5; Heb 12:27). God’s choice of another kind of priesthood for his Son, left the Levitical line off to one side, forever discounted, passed by “the order of Aaron” (tēn taxin Aarōn).
