Much grass (chortos polus). Old word for pasture, green grass (Mar 6:39) or hay (1Co 3:12). It was spring (Joh 6:4) and plenty of green grass on the hillside.

The men (hoi andres). Word for men as distinct from women, expressly stated in Mat 14:21.
