He made haste and came down (speusas katebē). Luke repeats the very words of Jesus with the same idiom.
Received him joyfully (hupedexato auton chairōn). The very verb used of Martha’s welcome to Jesus (Luk 10:38). “Joyfully” is the present active participle, “rejoicing” (chairōn).
