This Chapter Verse Commentaries:
That the inheritance may be ours (hina hēmōn genētai hē klēronomia). That the inheritance may become (genētai, second aorist middle subjunctive of ginomai). Here Mat 21:39 has schōmen “let us get, ingressive aorist active subjunctive.” Cf. echōmen, present subjunctive of the same verb echō in Rom 5:1; Mar 12:7 has “and it will be ours” (estai).
