Longed for (epipothētoi). Late and rare verbal adjective (here alone in N.T.) from epipotheō.
So stand fast (houto stēkete). Present active imperative of stēkō (late present from perfect hestēka from histēmi). See Phi 1:27. They were tempted to defection. Standing firm is difficult when a panic starts.
