Did I spread out (exepetasa). First aorist active indicative of ekpetannumi, old verb, to stretch out, bold metaphor, only here in N.T.

Unto a disobedient and a gainsaying people (pros laon apeithounta kai antilegonta). “Unto a people disobeying and talking back.” The two things usually go together. Contrary and contradictory (Luk 13:34.).
