This Chapter Verse Commentaries:
And curse not (kai mē katarāsthe). Present middle imperative with mē. Like Mat 5:44 in spirit, not a quotation, but a reminiscence of the words of Jesus. The negative addition gives emphasis. See Luk 6:28 for the old verb kataraomai from katara (curse).
