I was hindered (enekoptomēn). Imperfect passive (repetition) of enkoptō, late verb, to cut in, to cut off, to interrupt. Seen already in Act 24:4; 1Th 2:18; Gal 5:7. Cf. modern telephone and radio and automobile.

These many times (ta polla). “As to the many things.” In Rom 1:13 Paul used pollakis (many times) and B D read it here. But Paul’s work (ta polla) had kept him away.

From coming to you (tou elthein pros humas). Ablative case (after the verb of hindering) of the articular infinitive, “from the coming.”
