2Pe 1:17. Λαβὼν, having received) The participle is put for the indicative. He received, by the testimony of His Father.-τιμὴν καὶ δόξαν, honour and glory) divine. The word glory is immediately after repeated.-φωνῆς ἐνεχθεισης, when a voice was borne) This is emphatically repeated in the next verse.-αὐτῷ) to Him alone.-τῆς μεγαλοπρεποῦς δόξης, the magnificent Glory) So God Himself is termed.
