This Chapter Verse Commentaries:
Act 13:37. Ἤγειρε, raised up) Here there is not denoted the resurrection from the dead [as Engl. Vers. has it]: inasmuch as it is this very point which is evinced in the conclusion: but He whom God raised up, is the Holy One of GOD, Act 13:35; so that this description of the subject may contain the reason (Ætiology: see Append. Because He was the One whom God hath raised up, i.e. given us as a Saviour, therefore He saw not corruption [the Conclusion]).
