Act 18:14. Εἶπεν, said) Either because he was favourable to Paul, or because he despised the Jews.-ἀδίκημα, a matter of wrong) demanding a civil action.-ῥᾳδιούργημα, wanton wickedness) worthy of a criminal action.-ἠνεσχόμην, I would bear with you) Certainly ἀνοχὴ, forbearance, is becoming in a judge, if he is rightly to discharge the duties of his office. Gallio implies that the Jews were troublesome (an annoyance) to him.
